NeoPDP Technology Increases Luminous Efficiency by About 4 A unique technology that boosts the luminous efficiency of plasma illumination in every step (discharge illumination emission) has led to a newly developed "Black Panel" that increases the luminous efficiency of our plasma displays by approximately 4 times*1 compared to 2007 Panasonic models. Also, by enabling illumination without the need for pre-discharge, we have further boosted the expressive capabilities of black reproduction, which is the key to all image expression, to render rich, natural textures by depicting extremely fine differences in brightness and color. This has allowed us to raise image quality and lower power consumption while improving perceived brightness. Versatile Video Inputs You can input both analog (Component Video, Video, PC) and digital (DVI-D, HDMI) video signals to the display. These standard-equipped terminals handle most of the commonly used video signals. New Function Slot Expands Display Applications The new "Slot 2.0" function slot lets you add display functions to match the intended use. Mounting an optional function board allows the display to support a variety of applications. Native Contrast of 5,000,000:1 High contrast of 5,000,000:1*2 has been achieved by providing illumination without pre-discharge. This makes it possible to express shades that extend all the way from jet-black to the finely nuanced shades that make up image shadows, along with a wide and expressive range of brightness. As a result, images are given fine detail and depth. PJLink™ Compatible Network Function This network function lets you operate displays by remote control and monitor their status through a LAN connection. Since it supports the "PJLink ™" industry standard, existing infrastructure can be used for effective plasma display operation.
